UPDATED 9/24/07, According to an article in Computer Weekly Loans.co.uk has found the culprit of this breach to be the result of an insider.

Breach Description:
The Watford Observer reports that police have confirmed being contacted by Loans.co.uk in regards to the possible theft of thousands on customer records.

Commentary:
There is much that is not clear about this reported breach.  How was the data stolen?  How many people were affected?  What does loans.co.uk plan to do in the future as prevention? and on and on.

I am actively seeking additional information about this report and would welcome anyone's information.
